TERMS OF SERVICE

By creating an account or using BAL.bd in any capacity, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and BAL.bd.

You must be at least 16 years old to use BAL.bd. If you are using the platform on behalf of a business or organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

BAL.bd is a public review platform that allows users to:

• Browse, search, and read reviews of businesses, employers, apps, places, and services in Bangladesh
• Write reviews with ratings, sub-ratings, pros/cons, media, and structured feedback
• Vote on reviews as helpful or not helpful
• Report reviews that violate platform standards
• Submit and claim business profiles as verified owners
• Respond publicly to reviews as a claimed business owner
• Save subjects to a personal watchlist

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or remove any feature at any time. We are not liable for interruptions or changes to the platform.

Account Creation

To write reviews or interact with BAL.bd, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current registration information
• Keep your credentials confidential
• Be responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately at bangladeshaamleague@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access

One Account Per Person

Creating multiple accounts to submit additional reviews of the same subject, inflate helpful votes, or circumvent a ban is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent removal of all associated accounts.

Account Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your account for:

• Violating these Terms or our Review Guidelines
• Submitting fake, paid, or fraudulent reviews
• Abusive behaviour toward other users or business owners
• Requests from law enforcement under applicable Bangladesh law

BAL.bd exists to surface honest, first-hand opinions. By posting a review, you confirm that:

• Your review reflects a genuine personal experience with the subject
• You have not been paid, incentivized, or instructed to write the review
• You are not reviewing your own business, employer, or a competitor
• Your review does not contain personally identifiable information about individuals

Reviews that violate these guidelines will be removed. Repeated violations result in account termination. BAL.bd does not editorially influence reviews and does not accept payment to suppress, promote, or alter reviews.

Claiming a Profile

Business owners may submit a claim to manage their subject profile on BAL.bd. Claims require verification through email domain, document upload, or manual review and are subject to admin approval. By submitting a claim, you confirm:

• You are an authorized representative of the business
• All verification documents submitted are genuine
• Submitting false documentation constitutes fraud

Owner Responsibilities

Once approved as a verified owner, you agree to:

• Respond to reviews professionally and factually
• Not use the "Verify Customer" feature to falsely vouch for non-customers
• Not attempt to have legitimate negative reviews removed through false reporting

Misuse of owner tools will result in claim revocation and potential legal action.

Your Content

You retain ownership of the reviews, photos, and videos you submit to BAL.bd. By submitting content, you grant BAL.bd a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:

• Display your reviews and media on subject profile pages
• Index your content for search and discovery
• Use aggregated, anonymized review data to compute ratings and statistics
• Store backup copies for platform integrity

BAL.bd's Rights

The BAL.bd name, logo, platform design, code, and aggregated data are the intellectual property of BAL.bd and are protected under applicable Bangladesh and international law. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without written permission.

User-Generated Content

BAL.bd is a platform for user-generated reviews. We do not verify the accuracy of individual reviews beyond automated spam scoring and community reporting. Reviews represent the opinions of their authors, not BAL.bd.

Service Availability

BAL.bd is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that results from using the platform will meet your expectations.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BAL.bd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed BDT 10,000 or the amount you paid to BAL.bd in the preceding 12 months — whichever is less.

You agree to indemnify BAL.bd and its team against any claims, damages, or legal costs arising from: your violation of these Terms; content you submit to the platform; your misuse of the owner claim or verification tools; or your infringement of any third-party rights.

Subject profiles on BAL.bd may contain links to external websites. BAL.bd is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of third-party sites. Links do not constitute endorsement. Follow external links at your own discretion.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any legal proceedings relating to your use of BAL.bd shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

If you have a dispute with BAL.bd, contact us first atbangladeshaamleague@gmail.com. We will attempt to resolve the issue informally within 30 days. If informal resolution fails, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration under applicable Bangladesh law.

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will:

• Update the effective date at the top of this page
• Send an email notification for material changes
• Display an in-platform notice for significant updates

Continued use of BAL.bd after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
